Best way to teach children a second language?

Best way to teach children a second language?

This artical was explaining, as the title has presented, the best way to teach children a second language. They wrote examples of the different methods that they used then compared and contrasted them, and finally showed the results of their research.

I thought that this article was very mind opening to all the different methods people can use to teach another language but also the results they give. In the beginning, the artical wrote assumptions that people would make about children who are learning a new language (I thought it was a nice way to start, and also a great way to get you thinking). Like how children learn languages effortlessly and can learn faster than teens or adults. But there are many factors to learning a language that can effect the outcome, like the amount of exposure to the language. I am a child who is currently learning two languages, one I find is easier than the other because I have been more exposed and familiar with it than the other, I also learn better when there is more speaking involved and I personally am then more engaged in the class. What I found most interesting in this artical were the results of the study. Learning a language really depends on the child, the exposure, and the teaching methods used. But how the child is taught is most important, it must be in a way that encourages the child to learn, and being consistent. But each child is different and has a different learning style. In my opinion the best way to teach a child is in the best way that they learn.
