Hearing hate speech primes your brain for hateful actions

This article talks about how reading about something tends to cause your brain to literally be in the situation the language describes. This makes it easy for words to become actions and most of those actions aren’t good. I found it interesting that anything, a random post, a story, and meme, can contribute to a hate crime. I don’t have a personal experience to this, but some people are claiming that the recent Dayton, Ohio and El Paso, Texas shootings are caused by “video games”. I disagree, video game guns don't kill people, real ones do. I had to research about the recent shootings to bring up this analogy. In conclusion, this article sort of makes sense, because research has proven that reading about terrorism and crimes does affect the brain’s chemistry.
