Political Systems- China
Since 1949 the Communist Party has ruled over the People's Republic of China. The Communist Party has complete political authority and governs following democratic centralism, the only thing that is above the Communist Party ins the constitution. This form of government allows for open discussion about policy decisions, with this all of the members have to uphold group decisions once the vote is made. The Politburo Standing Committee is in control of the Communist Party and the military, they have about four to nine members. The Politburo Standing Committee is short for the Politburo Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China; which is a group of the top Communist leaders in China. The Paramount leader has the most governmental power. China's government is composed of four divisions; the legislative, the executive, the judiciary, and the military.

The first part of the Chinese government I will discuss id the legislative branch. The legislative branch consists of the National People's Congress(NPC). In the National People's Congress, they debate policy proposals and discuss among its 2,987 members. Each representative is elected for five-year terms and meets once a year. To pass amendments, they must be proposed by at least 20% of the members and must be approved by two-thirds. The congress also writes and amends laws about civil affairs, state issues, and criminal acts. The second branch of government I will be talking about is the executive branch. The executive branch is composed of the State Council, the Premier, and the President. The State Council must follow the NPC's orders and must carry out the legislative decisions. The Premier in a way is a Prime Minister and is in charge of the 50-member Council, these members are the heads of s ministry and government agency, they meet every six months. The President serves for five years, is a ceremonial head of state, and has limited power in the government. The third branch is the Judicial Branch. Within this branch is the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate. In the Supreme Court, its judges are appointed by the NPC. The Supreme People's Procuratorate does investigations a crime prosecutions, they run the Office of the Procurator-General. The final branch I will talk about is the Central Military. The military has 11 members, they control the People's Liberation Army, the People's Liberation Army militia, and the People's Armed Police. This happens by organizing the military order and making sure that it is followed. They also control the army deployment and budget spending. In China, the older generations are not very fond of their government but, the younger generation likes the government. The reason the younger generation likes the government because there is no political polls.
