Thoughts on Engagement

My Challenge Project is about Immigration. more specifically what route immigrants take to get to the United States by crossing over the United States and Mexico Border, and the difficulties that they go through making this journey. For my engagement, I would like to make a blog. I will not be able to make a big change in immigration, but my goal is to bring awareness to this topic and that people know the difficulties immigrants have to go through.

This blog would be used to give people an understanding of what immigrants have to go through to come to the United States. I will be focusing on immigrants that come from Latin American countries. It would also show what resources immigrants have and what they have to struggle with once they get to the United States. I would like to interview experts in immigration over the Southern Border. I would also like to talk about refugee immigrants, which are put into camps and they have started to have coronavirus cases. I would also like to see it the coronavirus would increase or change how immigration is done in the United States. I would also like to interview an immigrant so that I can put some first-hand experience of how immigrating to the United States is and how that affects your life. I would put this in my blog so that the readers would see how immigration is and its flaws so that they can reflect on this. In this blog, I would like to give the readers an opportunity to go volunteer at PAIR and help students do their school work. I would like to volunteer during the summer camp, which is three weeks long.

Gabriel Han Sep 16 IHSS Cultural Anthropology Blog I read an article about the Dead Sea Scrolls, and a study around them conducted by MIT. The Dead Sea Scrolls are a series of ancient Hebrew texts that were discovered in 1947. The study was focused on one scroll known as the Temple scroll, out of the 900 or so scrolls. Andreas Cantu Mr. Roddy IHSS 12 April 2020 Chinese Immigration  Between the years 1845 and 1855 the US saw a massive influx of chinese immigrants. This was due to the gold rush in California. Chinese immigrants would leave the friends and family in search of a better life with more opportunities in America, and gold rush gave them their best shot at making it big in America. Although they had hopes to join the gold mining most of them took jobs with coal mining companies for little to no commision. Thoughts on Engagement

After doing the research for my challenge project on kill and no kill animal shelters, I have decided that I want to find a way to educate people on the internet without stating any form of opinion in order to be informative without being offensive. What I want to do is make a website that will have information both good and bad on kill and no kill animal shelters in an effort to educate the public on the matter. many people will for blind opinions on specifically kill shelters as they don't do the research and end up attacking people without any information on the matter.
