Thoughts on Engagement

For the second part of my Challenge Project, I was thinking of engaging with the issue of Uyghur Muslims through making an informational website that people could access, with detailed explanations of what's happening to Uyghur Muslims, how they're being affected, how people can help, etc. I feel like this will help engage people with the issue of Uyghur Muslims, and help educate them in an accessible way, considering the current situation we're in right now.

Before starting the website, I'm going to reach out to some contacts that are in Uyghur Muslim awareness organizations, just to get more information and see their thoughts on my idea for the website. I will contact them through email, and I will also make sure that the facts and information that I have is correct before creating the whole, entire website.
I hope this website will be able to help educate and bring new knowledge to my classmates, as well as the people around me. Also, by chance, if my website would be able to be circulated on a large scale somehow, it would be nice if it could also help educate more and more people on Uyghur Muslims. Overall, I think this website would be a useful, helpful, and feasible way to engage, as I really can't do anything else with the situation that we're in right now.

For my first step, I will most likely be reaching out to some contacts in Uyghur Muslim organizations and getting more information from them, as I already mentioned. In addition to getting more information, I would also to see if there might be any other ways that I would be able to engage, after creating the website. I think that the website plus some other type of engagement would really help further educate and bring new knowledge to my classmates, and many people as well.

Gabriel Han Sep 16 IHSS Cultural Anthropology Blog I read an article about the Dead Sea Scrolls, and a study around them conducted by MIT. The Dead Sea Scrolls are a series of ancient Hebrew texts that were discovered in 1947. The study was focused on one scroll known as the Temple scroll, out of the 900 or so scrolls. Thoughts on Engagement

After doing the research for my challenge project on kill and no kill animal shelters, I have decided that I want to find a way to educate people on the internet without stating any form of opinion in order to be informative without being offensive. What I want to do is make a website that will have information both good and bad on kill and no kill animal shelters in an effort to educate the public on the matter. many people will for blind opinions on specifically kill shelters as they don't do the research and end up attacking people without any information on the matter.
