My Engagement Plan
As I did some additional research on my topic I came to the conclusion that it's to big of an issue to tackle on my own. With its constant growth and unpredictable areas of appearance only a small percentage of people have the authority to lay a foundation of rules and regulations to help minimize the issue. I have determined the community that is involved with this problem has to be the city of Houston as a whole. As for the project itself, my lack of interviews helped me understand how busy and preoccupied people are right now. I realized that my best course of action would consist of two things. Number one: local awareness, my neighborhood has been changing ever since we moved here and I am not too sure that everybody likes it. I will distribute handouts around my neighborhood with some information and my phone number in case they have any more questions. Number Two: Government Outreach, I have also decided that I should attempt at reaching out to my local government by sending some letters describing the issue and asking them what they can do to help. I believe that these steps could help spread the awareness of issue and inform the government that their people are mad and need answers.
